How Does A Safety Letterbox Work?

How does it work?

You simply place or install a safety letterbox by your home. The functionality in all our standalone, built-in or apartment letterbox is the same. When the drawer is opened to deliver a parcel or a letter is posted through the opening in the drawer; The drawer has a false bottom which consists of flaps similar to a trapdoor on a stage. When the handle is turned the flaps are drawn up enabling the drawer to open.

The parcel is placed inside the drawer and when it is closed the flaps automatically release, allowing the parcel to drop through into the weatherproof compartment below, providing secure package and letter delivery.

Also, depending on the size of Brizebox you install, you can receive multiple deliveries in one day. All parcels and letters will stay safe in the compartment below waiting for your collection.

Brizebox is very secure, it has a three-point locking system made with stainless steel levers to prevent tampering. In addition, when the drawer of the parcel box is opened, you cannot see or access the compartment below. Only you with the safety key can unlock the compartment and receive your deliveries.

What is so special about Brizebox?

Each Standalone Brizebox is made out of galvanised sheet metal which is then powder-coated using architectural grade exterior paint. Furthermore, there are rubber seals on the drawer and door to prevent water ingress and keep your parcels safe from any potential water damage, even on the rainiest of days. Making it both weatherproof and rust-resistant, perfect for the UK weather!

The lever mechanism operated by the handle is stainless steel, for strength and durability, and the levers for the lock are stainless steel for the same reason. Stainless steel is also used for the hinges and nylon washers separate all moving parts. The unique false door technology is a patented design that creates a secure safety letterbox and parcel box.
