With the rise of online shopping, owning a parcel box has become more beneficial, ensuring you never have to be at home again to accept delivery. It will also alleviate the worry of what condition your package is in when you return home, or if it is even there at all!
How do Parcel Boxes work?
BrizeBox is the perfect solution to the parcel delivery problem, allowing for multiple deliveries too large to fit in your letterbox to be securely stored.
It works using patented false door technology in the package drawer. The flaps are drawn up when the handle is turned, enabling the drawer to open. The parcel is placed inside the drawer. The flaps automatically release when the drawer is closed, allowing the parcel to drop through into the compartment below, providing secure package delivery.
Both designs are incredibly weatherproof due to their rubber seals and galvanised steel exterior making them more resistant to severe weather conditions and attempted theft. Available in two different colour styles, they also come in various sizes, so you must consider the number of deliveries you receive to get the appropriate size. But before you choose, which design of parcel box best suits you?
What are the differences between the Built-In vs Stand Alone Parcel Box?
There are two BrizeBox options available, the Built-In and Stand Alone. While the functionality is the same, they each have their own benefits.
Built-In Parcel Box
Our built-in parcel box can be easily installed directly into an outside wall of your property, either by yourself or with our expert help. This is perfect for people who live in large estates or have a gated residence as the front, and rear panels can be swapped effortlessly to allow the contents of the parcel box to be retrieved from within your driveway, as there is no need to go out of the gate to get your packages.
The built-in parcel box is convenient for both you and the postman, as they don’t have to ring the doorbell and wait around for you. This means a quicker delivery for them and less disruption for you. It also stops the postman from needing to leave your package on the doorstep if you’re not home, with the risk of it not being there when you get in.
This design is more aesthetically pleasing as it can be seamlessly integrated into the fencing or brick wall of your home, taking up no additional space and being neatly hidden away. This allows you to maintain the style of your grounds, especially when accompanied by our built-in parcel box frame that can be used to tidy up the area around your parcel box to make it look even more at home.
Stand alone Parcel Box
At a 20% cheaper price across the various sizes, the Stand alone Parcel box can more easily be installed next to your front door or in your driveway, easily visible to delivery carriers.
If there is easy access to the front of your home, the stand alone parcel box gives you the ability to install the parcel box at the end of your driveway, offering you some additional privacy. It can either be floor mounted or for a more traditional postbox feel; you can customise your BrizeBox with its own post. This will elevate it to a more convenient height, so you do not need to bend down to retrieve your packages.
Tenants who do not own their property but instead rent it from a landlord are unlikely to be able to have the built-in option, so in this instance, the Stand Alone parcel box is a much better choice. Another benefit of the Standalone is that, unlike its built-in counterpart, you can effortlessly unscrew it from the floor should you decide to move it or take it with you should you move house.
